Nisha Devi was born in June 1990 in Hamirpur, Himachal Pardesh, India. She obtained her B.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar in 2010 and M.Sc. in Chemistry from Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar in 2012. She has one publication to her credit during her M.Sc. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Virender Singh in Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar in 2018. Her major research area is synthetic organic chemistry and has worked on design and synthesis of biologically active novel indole and pyrazole fused frameworks during her Ph.D. She has 15 research publications to her credit till 2018 in reputed internation journals which also include a book chapter. She has presented her work in more than eight national and international conference and has won the award for Best Oral Presentation twice during her Ph.D. She has also shown her participation to various short term courses and workshops. Her research interest includes the synthetic organic chemistry, synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic frameworks, Multicomponent reactions, Morita-Baylis-Hilman reaction etc.
