Flexible Pathways

DAV University offers flexible pathways in Chemistry, allowing students to tailor their education to their individual goals and commitments.

  • B.Sc. Chemistry Degree: Students who successfully complete the three-year undergraduate program, earning 120 credits, will be awarded the B.Sc. Chemistry degree.
  • Undergraduate Certificate: Students who choose to exit the program after earning a minimum of 40 credits will receive an undergraduate certificate in Chemistry. To ensure practical skills development, these students must also complete at least 4 credits in work-based vocational courses, providing hands-on experience through internships or apprenticeships.
  • Undergraduate Diploma: Students who achieve a minimum of 80 credits may opt to exit the program with an undergraduate diploma in Chemistry. In addition to their academic credits, these students are required to earn 4 credits in skill-based vocational courses, enhancing their proficiency and employability.
  • B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours): High-achieving students have the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Chemistry in their fourth year.
  • B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours) with Research: Students who maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 (75%) or higher throughout their first three years are eligible to pursue a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) with Research, recognizing their academic excellence and commitment to research.
