She did her M.Sc. and Ph.D in Botany from GNDU, Amritsar and completed her Ph.D on the topic "Isolation of Brassinosteroids from Aegle marmelos(L.)Corr. and Centella asiatica(L.) Urban and Evaluation of their Antigenotoxic Potential". She also pursued many trainings related to advance techniques in plant biology. 

Her area of research interests include Medicinal plants, extraction and analysis of plant metabolites, natural plant products and environmental toxicology. 

She has published 2 research papers in National/International Journals and 1 in Conference Proceedings. she also presented her work in various conferences, seminar and workshops.
