Dr. Anju Pathania (Coordinator)
She has earned her Ph. D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics from CSK HPKV, Palampur. Before joining DAV University, she has worked as a Breeder (Cucurbits) in Syngenta India Ltd. and as Scientist (Plant Breeding), Deptt. of Crop Improvement, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur. She was awarded DST Young Scientist project entitled, "Genetic diversity in common bean cultivated in north-western Himalayan region in India using molecular markers." She has completed one CSIR funded adhoc project entitled, “Molecular mapping of BCMV recessive resistance gene in KRC22 landrace of common bean” and DST funded adhoc project entitled, “Molecular markers assisted pyramiding of bean anthracnose resistance genes in Indian common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)”. Her research interests include disease resistance breeding using conventional and molecular approaches.
