B.Sc. Chemistry/ B.Sc.(Hons.) Chemistry/ B.Sc.(Hons. with research) Chemistry
B.Sc. Chemistry at DAV University is an undergraduate academic degree program designed to
provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of
chemistry. The curriculum encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical skills
necessary for a successful career in the field of chemistry.
Students enrolled in the B.Sc. Chemistry program will delve into core areas of chemistry,
including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry. Courses cover topics such as
chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, spectroscopy, molecular structure, and chemical synthesis,
among others. Through hands-on laboratory experiments and projects, students gain practical
experience in chemical analysis, synthesis techniques, and instrumentation usage.
The programme emphasizes the importance of computational tools and software in modern
chemistry research and industry. Students are trained in the use of computational chemistry
software for molecular modeling, data analysis, and simulations, enhancing their analytical and
problem-solving skills.
Passed with 50% aggregate marks (45% marks in case of
