Brief Profile

Dr. Daljit Kaur is working as Assistant Professor in Physics Department of DAV University. She received her Ph.D. degree (Magnetic nanowires) in 2013 from IIT Delhi and M.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics in 2008 from GNDU, Amritsar. Currently, her research interests are in the areas of synthesis of novel magnetic and semicondunctor nanostructures for spintronics and energy applications. This includes skyrmionic materials, 2D layered metal chalcogenides for applications in supercapacitors, photo-electrochemical cells and as cathodes in rechargeable batteries and photocatalysis. She has contributed several publications in international SCI journals and conference proceedings. In connection with her research, she has visited Switzerland (EPFL, Lausanne), Romania and Singapore. She is a life member of Materials Research Society of India.
