Dr. Priti is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at D.A.V. University, Jalandhar (Punjab). She obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, where her research focused on microsatellite-based analysis for bacterial leaf blight resistance in cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba). She completed her M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Jaipur National University and her B.Sc. from Institute of Engineering and Technology Alwar (Rajasthan). She has qualified the ASRB- NET (2016) in Agricultural Biotechnology.

She has extensive research experience, having worked at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, where she contributed to studies on virus-vector interaction and antisense- based gene silencing in insect vectors. Her expertise spans QTL mapping, molecular cloning, RNAi, plant and insect cell culture, and advanced molecular techniques such as RT-PCR and qPCR. She has authored several research papers in high-impact journals, along with book chapters and conference publications, reflecting her significant contribution to plant biotechnology and molecular entomology.
