Dr. Meenakshi Dhiman earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Dr Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni-Solan in 2020. She worked on the isolation and characterization of PGPR and their application in field. The different  sources were selected for the isolation of PGPR. The application of PGPR alone or in combination with different fertilizers showed the maximum growth and yield of crop, received the treatment with PGPR . So, these PGPR strains can be used as best alternate for chemical fertilizer and enhance crop growth and yield in ecofriendly manner.  In her master’s thesis, she has worked on the Isolation and characterization of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria associated with maize (Zea Mays L.) under low hill conditions of Himachal Pradesh.

She has 5 publications in peer-reviewed International and National journals, one chapters in edited books and presentations in various national and international conferences.
