Dr. Diksha Garg
Dr. Diksha Garg is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Microbiology) at DAV University, Jalandhar- 144012, Punjab, India. She received her doctoral degree in Microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India in 2024. She has also been awarded Dr. G. S. Khush Fellowship for the Advancement in Agricultural Sciences twice from Dr. Gurdev Singh Khush Foundation, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines. She has qualified for Indian Council of Agricultural Research- National Eligibility Test (ICAR-NET). In the span of 4 years, she has been diligently conducting research on various prospects of renewable bio-engineering and plant-microbe interactions. Her research focuses on microbial solutions for agriculture, particularly bioformulations for crop disease management and the optimization of microalgal cultures for nutraceutical compounds. During her research career, she has published more than ten research/review articles, one book chapter and her research work gained recognition at international level. She has been felicitated with several academic awards like best PhD student by Microbiologists Society, India, best oral presentation award in the International Conference on Climate Resilient Agriculture for Food Security and Sustainability held at CCS-HAU, Hisar and award of PAU merit fellowship for PhD. She was honored by the Society of Advancement of Academics, Sports & Cultural Activities (SAASCA) for her academic proficiency and secured the second position in a Poster Making Competition on International Biodiversity Day, an event organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS).
