Report on Survey Camp
In the first week of June 2017, the department of Civil Engineering D.A.V University Jalandhar organized a survey camp in the beautiful hills of Himachal Pradesh for purely educational purpose.
The camp was organized from 6-June-2017 to 20-June-2017 at Naddi, Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh). Students of 4th semester were introduced to various techniques of performing survey and preparing topographical maps on the given area.
Students were made technically fit about usability of various techniques in the field of surveying.
Various techniques which were incorporated in the syllabus were making topographical and contour map using angle measurement, plane table surveying and leveling techniques.
