CBM Students of DAV University Visit Coca-Cola Plant for Industrial Tour
MBA, BBA and M.Com Students of Commerce and Business Management (CBM) Department of DAV University went for industrial visit to Coca Cola Bottling Plant near Amritsar.
The officials of Coca-Cola ‘The wave bottlers’ welcomed the students in the plant and gave a presentation on functioning of their unit. They shared about the operational and financial aspects of the bottling plant. They also shared how coca-cola company has created the brand equity. There was a questions and answers session after the presentation.
Thereafter, the students along with accompanying faculty members Dr Girish Taneja, Ms Bindia, Ms Shivani Malhan and Mr Sidhartha Sharma toured inside the bottling plant and saw the actual operations. They were highly impressed by the quality standards being followed during the production and bottling of coca-cola products.
On their way back to the University, the students also stopped by at Simbacart – an E-Commerce entrepreneurial venture by Ms Mandeep Kaur (CEO, Simbacart) to see the live operations of e-business. She shared her entrepreneurial journey and technicalities of online business with the students. The students were highly encourages by this interaction to go for entrepreneurship as a career.
Dr Sandeep Vij, Coordinator of the CBM Department shared that field visits is integral part of the pedagogy for management education at DAV University and more of such visits will be organised in the near future.
