Brief Profile

Dr. Sudhir Kumar is Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, DAV University, with nearly 19 years of experience in pharmaceutical education and research. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, and has qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), conducted by IIT Delhi, with 94.84 percentile. He was awarded the prestigious Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in December 2011. His research expertise spans Novel drug delivery systems (Nanotechnology), Topical delivery systems, Skin cancer and other dermatological conditions, reflected in his numerous publications, patents, books, and book chapters. He has also received international travel awards from ICMR and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) to present his research findings at international conferences in London and Australia. Beyond his academic and research contributions, he serves in key university roles, including Incharge of the University Health Committee, Chairperson of the University Chemicals Committee, and Chairperson of the University Institute Animal Ethical Committee. He has participated in multiple international faculty development programs and conferences and is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI).
