She has done BE (Chemical Engineering) from VIT Bangalore, ME (Chemical Engineering) from Panjab University, Chandigarh and PhD from Dr. BR Ambedkar NIT, Jalandhar. She has joined the university on 1^st August 2014.

The topic of her ME thesis was Heat transfer study on a thermal energy storage system with phase change. Her areas of interest are mass transfer, reaction engineering and waste water treatment.
