The Vice Chancellors of DAV University, Jalandhar Dr A K Paul and Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) Dr R K Kohli reviewed the progress with regard to the execution of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) singed between both the institutions for promoting research. They also discussed modalities to ensure maximum benefit of the MoU to the students.
Dr Kohli, who visited DAV University on July 3, stressed the need to achieve the purpose of Rashtria Aviskar Abhiyan – a convergent framework of MHRD aimed at nurturing a spirit of inquiry and creativity and effective use of technology amongst students.
Dr Paul and Dr Kohli resolved that both the institutions would start implementing the terms of MoU from the Academic Session 2017-18 which was executed recently. The MoU was signed by Dr Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, Registrar, DAV University and Prof (Dr) Jagdeep Singh, registrar, CUPB at Bathinda.
Under the MoU, the faculty and research scholars of both the Universities would help each other with the latest developments in the research. The teachers, staff and students of both the institutions will be entitled to use the facilities including labs, library, equipment, playground, gymnasium and auditorium.
