Rank Conferring Ceremony Honours Dr Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, DAV University with Colonel Title in NCC

A historic moment unfolded at DAV University, Jalandhar, as Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar was conferred the Honorary Rank of Colonel in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and appointed as Colonel Commandant during an impressive Pipping Ceremony held at the NCC Group Headquarters, Jalandhar.

The ceremonial investiture was conducted in the presence of senior officers of the National Cadet Corps, including Additional Director General, NCC Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Jalandhar, Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab Battalion NCC.

Following the investiture, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar expressed his gratitude to the National Cadet Corps and the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for the distinguished honour. He reaffirmed DAV University's commitment to promoting patriotism, discipline, leadership, character building and community service among students through NCC activities. He remarked that the recognition would further inspire him to encourage greater participation of youth in nation-building initiatives.

Congratulating the Vice-Chancellor, Additional Director General, NCC PHHP&C Directorate appreciated DAV University's continued contribution towards strengthening the NCC movement and motivating young cadets to excel in leadership, social service and national integration. Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Jalandhar highlighted the significant role played by educational institutions in developing responsible citizens and future leaders through NCC training.
