The students of B.Sc. (Hons) and M. Sc. (Hons) of Department of Physics organized the farewell party ’Mehfil-E-Rukhsat’ on 19.05.2017 for the outgoing students. Dr. Rajiv Kumar Coordinator, Physics and Dr. R. K. Seth along with other faculty members welcomed the chief guest Dr. A. K. Paul, vice chancellor. Dr. A K Paul motivated the students for further endeavours in their careers and showered his best blessings for their successful journey ahead.  Dr. Jasbir Rishi,Dean (Academics) encouraged the students to participate in cultural activities in addition to the academics for their overall development. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj,Registrar shared her views and asked the students to serve the society with dedication and commitment and extended her blessings tothe outgoing students

During the party, the students performed solo dance, bhangra, ramp walk and sang solo Hindi and Punjabi songs along with many other items. The audience comprising of students, faculty members and dignitaries enjoyed each and every performance.

Ms. Manisha Kumari and Mr. Vishav Abrol grabbed Miss Farewell and Mr Farewell titles respectively. In addition, Ms. Monika Jamwal and Mr Varinder Kumar were adjudged to be Ms. and Mr. Wardrobe for their elegant attire.
