According to Dr. Sudhir Arora (co-inventor), the gun-attachment comprises a platform that automates the gun giving it controlled movement capabilities. With the help of this device, the target can be aimed easily from a distance without the soldier having to be present at the spot & hence keeping him away from the line of fire. The mechanism also provides standard gun night vision and other intrinsic capabilities without modifying the existing structure of the gun.

“There is lot of scope for product development through multi-disciplinary engineering in the field of defense. The issue that comes with developing products with defense is that they should be of highest quality and should not fail in tough climatic conditions as the lives of our soldiers depend upon it,” said Mr. Inderjit co-inventor of the product.

Mr. Pranjal (co-inventor) said that we are working on multiple such projects which can help the defense sector in creating new products in line with Prime Ministers Atamnirbhar Bharat.

The inventors expressed their desire that If any person or organization (SME, MSME or Corporate) has interest in catering to the defense sector of the country they may approach us for collaboration to jointly develop new products and services we would be highly interested for such ventures and all resources at our disposal will be available.

Dr. R.K. Seth, Dean (A) of the university said that there is a great potential in technologies based on automations that could be utilized in multiple ways including defense sector. He added that DAV university always promotes research and innovations for the society at large.
