Online student orientation programme organized at DAVU

A four-day online Orientation programme was conducted to welcome and familiarize newly admitted students with the university's academic structure, policies, and resources. The program aimed to ease students' transition into university life, especially in the virtual learning environment.

The first day programme commenced with an inaugural session where Dr. Punam Suri, Chancellor, DAV University, Jalandhar delivered a formal welcome speech. He introduced the students to the core values and vision of the university, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication in their academic journey. This was followed by a virtual tour of the university. After that the students join their respective departments virtually.

On the second day, the students were addressed by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jasbir Rishi. Dean Academics, Dr. R. K. Seth, provided a comprehensive overview of the academic structure. The session highlighted the credit system, evaluation methods, and the importance of maintaining academic integrity. The students were also briefed on the university’s code of conduct, emphasizing discipline, ethical behavior, and respect for diversity within the university.

A session on Developing Life Skills was conducted by Dr. Nakul Kundra, aimed at equipping students with essential personal and professional skills needed for success in both academic and life challenges.

As part of the Orientation program, Dr. K. N. Kaul delivered an insightful session on the Facilities and Opportunities available at DAV University, Jalandhar. Dr. K. N. Kaul began by emphasizing the university's commitment to holistic development, ensuring that students have access to a range of facilities and opportunities that go beyond academics. He encouraged students to make the most of these resources to enrich their university experience.

The four-day online Orientation programme was interactive and well-structured, offering students a thorough introduction to both the academic and co-curricular aspects of university life. Despite being conducted online, the programme successfully created a welcoming atmosphere and provided the students with essential information and guidance for their university experience.
