Foundation Day was observed at DAV University, Jalandhar on April 20, 2021. Havan Yajna was performed at the premises of DAV University. Vice Chancellor (Officiating), DAV University, Dr. Jasbir Rishi said that Havan was performed at University premises to seek the divine blessings of Almighty. She said that she feels proud to share that University has grown in leaps and bounds since its inception and in past eight years it has produced world class technocrats, leaders and managers who are working globally.

 On this auspicious occasion, Vice Chancellor (Officiating), Dr. Jasbir Rishi read the message of Worthy Chancellor, DAV University, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Punam Suri who congratulated all the members of DAV family on the Foundation Day of DAV University, Jalandhar. He said that it gives him immense pleasure while stating that University has grown at a phenomenal pace in a short span of time and has emerged as one of the leading Universities in North India. He further stated that University was established with the aim to instill core values amongst the youth such as integrity, assiduousness, perseverance and positive competitive spirit which will help them to face social and economic challenges. He said that University aims at providing congenial environment to the students which helps them to grow multi-dimensionally. Worthy Chancellor further stated that it is a matter of great pleasure that the splendid infrastructure, picturesque campus, well-equipped laboratories, zealous faculty members and creative ambience of the university has played a vital role in kindling the desire to learn among the students as University strongly believes in removing the blinkers of ‘limit’ and in illuminating the dark passages with the flame of knowledge.

Registrar (Officiating), DAV University; Dr. K. N. Kaul said that Havan Yajna and chanting of Hymns at University has created a pious atmosphere which has filled all the members of DAV Family with sense of pride and belongingness towards the University.

Sweets were also distributed to all.
