Jalandhar, April 28

DAV University organized a free eye checkup camp for students and staff members. The camp was organized under the aegis of the Women Empowerment Cell, NSS, and the University’s health centre.

A team of five experienced eye specialists, led by Dr. Mohit Ghai - MBBS, MS (Ophthalmologist) from Duggal Eye Hospital Jalandhar visited the university for the purpose.

The initiative by the University and its partners was a significant step towards promoting healthcare and wellness among students and staff members.

The team examined more than 164 patients, with support from Ms. Ravinderjit Kaur of DAV University Health Centre. The doctors also raised awareness among students about various eye disorders and their early detection.

Dr. Praveen Guleria (Convener), Dr. Rama, Er. Sangeeta Monga, Er. Simrandeep Kaur, Er. Vidya, Dr. Lakhmir, and Mr. Tarandeep members of the Women Empowerment Cell and NSS were present to support the team and ensure the smooth running of the camp.
