DAV University signs MoU with SCL, Mohali to promote research and innovation

DAV University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali to promote research activities and technological innovation. 

The memorandum was signed by Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Paul, Vice-Chancellor, DAV University and Mr. Surinder Singh, Director, SCL. Mr. Sanjay Bhatnagar, Group Head – Project Planning Group and Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, Registrar were also present on the occasion.

Under the MoU, both the institutions would exchange staff and students for academics and research for the mutual benefit in addition to collaborating in teaching, research and consultancy activities. DAV University and SCL would also exchange academic and research material, publications and intellectual properties. SCL is a premier organization of Department of Space, Government of India.

The institutions would also exchange students for summer and winter internships and write books jointly in the areas of mutual interest. The University and SCL would also undertake joint research and participate in seminars, colloquia and other types of academic discussions. DAV University students would undergo internships at SCL.

According to Dr. A. K. Paul, both the institutions would exchange research documents and findings on a case to case basis. The institutions would also organize joint conferences, workshops, and seminars. Mr. Surinder Singh meanwhile added that the exchange of faculty, scientists, research scholars, and students would benefit both the students.
