DAV University signs MoU with Central University, Punjab to promote research and innovation

DAV University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) to promote innovation and research in the field of Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. This MoU will also help both the institutions to achieve the purpose of Rashtria Aviskar Abhiyan – a convergent framework of MHRD aimed at nurturing a spirit of inquiry and creativity and effective use of technology amongst students.

The MoU was signed by Dr Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, Registrar, DAV University and Prof (Dr) Jagdeep Singh, registrar, CUPB at Bathinda. Dr A K Paul and Dr R K Kohli, Vice Chancellors of DAVU and CUPB respectively were also present at the occasion.

Under the MoU, the faculty and research scholars of both the Universities would help each other with the latest developments in the research. The teachers, staff and students of both the institutions will be entitled to use the facilities including labs, library, equipment, playground, gymnasium and auditorium.

According to Dr R K Kohli, the understanding between CUPB and DAV University would help promote the standard of teaching and research. CUPB would also not charge any fee from DAV University students for attending seminars. Dr A K Paul said that the MoU would lead to exchange of faculty and research scholars for interaction and guidance. They could also apply for research funding by collaborating research project on mutually agreeable terms.
