DAV University on Tuesday formed Students’ Council and Cultural Council and presented badges to their members. The badges were presented to them by the Vice Chancellor Prof Rakesh Kumar Mahajan, Dean Academics Dr Desh Bandhu Gupta, Registrar Dr Sushma Arya and Sean Students’ Welfare Dr Jasbir Rishi at an informal ceremony organized on the campus. The Students Council comprises elected representatives of all the classes while Cultural Council includes achievers in the field of arts and culture.

Addressing the representatives of the Students’ and Cultural Councils, Prof Mahajan said that they had responsibility of carrying forward the legacy of academic, arts and cultural activities. He also appreciated Dr Jasbir Rishi, DSW, for forming the councils.
