Jalandhar, August 30
Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) and DAV University, Jalandhar jointly organized a mass plantation drive. About 1000 saplings of different tree species including teakwood, gulmohar and neem were planted on the campus. The mass plantation drive was carried out by the PPCB’s Zonal Branch Jalandhar under the "Green Earth, Clean Environment" initiative with the support of the University’s NSS unit.

Dr. Krunesh Garg, Chief Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, was the chief guest. Other dignitaries participating in the drive included Senior Environmental Engineer Vijay Kumar, Executive Engineer Satyajit Attri and Executive Engineer Sandeep Kumar.
Prof. Manoj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Mr Rajan Gupta, Executive Director, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Arora, Registrar, Dr Samriti Khosla, NNS Unit incharge, Mr Gautam Bhalla, Estate Officer, Mr Davinder Sharma, Accounts Officer, faculty, staff members and students were also present at the occasion.
