DAV University Organized Induction programme for newly admitted students

An Induction program was conducted to welcome and guide newly admitted students at DAV University, Jalandhar. The event was structured with a series of activities aimed at introducing students to the university's values, academic expectations, and co-curricular opportunities. The program commenced with reporting by the newly admitted students. This was followed by a Havan Yajna, a traditional ritual seeking blessings for the students' academic journey. After Havan Yajna, Dr. R. K. Mahajan, Vice Chancellor, formally welcomed the students. Following this, Dr. R. K. Seth, Dean of Academics, delivered an insightful lecture on the university's code of conduct, emphasizing discipline and integrity.

The Registrar, Dr. Sushma Arya, addressed the students discussing administrative matters and guiding them through university processes. Post-lunch, Dr. Yeshbeer Singh, Deputy Director of Physical Education & Sports, highlighted the importance of physical fitness and sports in student life at DAV University. The final two sessions of first day included a lecture by the NSS Coordinator, and lecture by the NCC Coordinator both focusing on opportunities for students to participate in social service and national cadet activities.

There were three expert lectures on Day 2 of the induction programme. They enriched students on the topic of time management, entrepreneurship and life skills. The Induction program was well-organized, offering a comprehensive introduction to the university environment and encouraging active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities.
