Mechanical Engineering department of DAV University Jalandhar organized a webinar on “Applications of IOTs in Mechanical Engineering”. Dr. Kapil Kumar Goyal, Assistant Professor, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering NIT, Jalandhar was the main speaker of the webinar. Webinar was started with chanting of Gyatri Mantra.

Dr. Jasbir Rishi Vice-Chancellor, DAV University, blessed the participants and organizers. She said that such seminars and webinars should be held for the development of the department so that everyone is aware of new technology and information. Registrar of the university Dr. K N Kaul congratulated the organizers for conducting the webinar on new technology.

Dr. R.K. Seth Dean Academics, introduced the speaker Dr. Kapil Kumar Goyal. Earlier, Mr. Vipan Bansal, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering highlighted the importance of this webinar and welcomed the speaker and participants.

In his address, Dr. Kapil Goyal emphasized the importance of Internet of things, machine learning in current manufacturing scenario. He said that, to cope up with the market demands, students have to be competent in these technologies. 

The webinar was attended by more than 100 participants including students and faculties from various disciplines and academicians from different educational institutions. Program was well coordinated by Mr. Ved Raj Khullar and Mr. Sumit Njjar, Assistant Professor in the department.
