In a vibrant showcase of Unity and Diversity, DAV University Jalandhar hosted the Diwali Carnival 2023 under the theme “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” The event witnessed each department embodying the essence of a specific Indian state, celebrating its unique culture while aligning with the overarching theme.

The Zoology, Botany, and Environment departments secured the coveted first position, representing the cultural richness of West Bengal under the banner “Beautiful Bengal.” Their presentation not only mesmerized the audience but also encapsulated the spirit of inclusivity and progress promoted by the theme.

The Law and Legal Studies department clinched the second prize with their portrayal of the cultural tapestry of Bihar, aptly titled “Blissful Bihar.” The captivating display underscored the theme’s ideals, emphasizing unity in diversity and collective efforts towards development.

The Computer Science and Engineering department claimed the third prize, showcasing the enchanting charm of Kerala, famously known as “God’s Own Country.” Their presentation resonated with the theme, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and collective endeavors for a brighter future.

The Diwali Carnival 2023 culminated with an encouraging address by Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of DAV University Jalandhar, who blessed the winners and extended heartfelt Diwali wishes to the entire student body.

The Registrar of the University Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Arora, also conveyed warm wishes, emphasizing the significance of unity and celebration.

The Dean of Students Welfare Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur Sidhu, expressed gratitude to all participants and extended heartfelt Diwali wishes, acknowledging the tireless efforts put forth by each department in making the event a grand success.
