DAV University organized an expert talk on raising awareness about heart relates medical problems and their prevention. The experts discussed about promoting heart-healthy behaviour, advocating for better cardiovascular healthcare and reducing cardiovascular disease (CVD) related mortality.

The event, held under the aegis of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in collaboration with the Pharmacy Welfare Society, Punjab, featured distinguished experts in the field of medicine Dr. Amardeep Markan, a Cardiologist, and Dr. Bikramjit Singh, a Neurosurgeon.
Their engaging discussions centred around the critical topic of cardiac health and its implications for overall human well-being.

Dr. Bikramjit Singh, addressing the students, emphasized the significance of maintaining a healthy heart, considering it as one of the vital organs in the human body. He stressed that any malfunction of the heart could potentially lead to fatality, making it imperative for everyone to prioritize their heart health.

During the talk, Dr. Amardeep Markan pointed out that a lack of awareness about cardiovascular health, coupled with certain lifestyle habits, has made cardiovascular diseases a leading cause of mortality worldwide. He underscored the importance of recognizing symptoms and urged individuals not to ignore any potential warning signs.
