The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at DAV University organized an online cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Awareness Programme. The event, conducted in collaboration with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), provided students with invaluable insights into the benefits of CPR in critical situations.

The programme featured a demonstration by NBEMS experts, shedding light on the significance of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and its pivotal role in saving lives during emergencies. In this engaging session, Pharmacy and MLT students were guided through the techniques and protocols of CPR, emphasizing its application in various critical scenarios. Participants gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience, enhancing their preparedness to respond effectively to life-threatening incidents. Students participated actively, asked questions, and engaged with the experts.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Dr Manoj Kumar said that the students of DAV University were equipped to handle the challenges of the healthcare profession. The session was a testament to the commitment.

Dr Sudhir Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, stated that the University aimed at preparing students with practical skills. It makes a real difference in critical situations.

Mr S P S Khurana, Coordinator of the Faculty, explained the importance of this life-saving skill in emergencies. He answered student’s doubts related to CPR, cardiac arrest and choking. Other faculty members who participated in the event included Mr. Dharmender, Mr. Nitish, Mr. Rahul, Ms. Shanupriya, Ms. Sapna, and Ms. Shinjini.
