DAV University holds international conference on changing paradigms of individual and society

Experts discuss issues related to conflicts, negotiations and growth

Different social scientists from India and abroad held deliberations on changing paradigms of individual and society and discussed issues related to conflict and growth. The conference was organized by the Department of Psychology and Department of English at DAV University, in the online mode.

 

The event was inaugurated by Dr Jasbir Rishi, officiating Vice-Chancellor of the University and welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Ramesh K Arya, Vice-President, DAV College Managing Committee (DAV CMC), New Delhi.

Dr. Ramesh K Arya lauded the initiative and said that the research was significant for sustainability and development of academic institutions. The researchers must imbibe innovation to excel and keep a pace with the changing dynamics of the academic and social set up.

 

Dr R K Seth, officiating Dean Academics, introduced the keynote speakers Dr. Paul T Corrigan, visiting Assistant Professor, University of Tampa and the resource person, Ms Namita Kandhola, Consulting Psychologist, Vancouver, Canada. The conference was held in eight parallel sessions each facilitated by a chairperson and teacher coordinator.

More than one hundred participants joined the conference and presented their papers from different states and countries. The chairpersons of different sessions included Dr. Rubal Kanojia, Central University of Punjab, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Central University of South Bihar, Dr Sudeep Ahlawat, Central University of Haryana, Dr Ramesh Singh, Nagaland University; and Dr Navdeep Singh Tung, GNDU, Amritsar.

Dr K N Kaul, officiating registrar said that such events were important for academia and improving the quality of research. He also presented the vote of thanks.

Chancellor Dr Suri sends his blessings

A noted academician and the Chancellor of DAV University, Dr Punam Suri extended his best wishes and blessings for the conference. The officiating Vice-Chancellor, Dr Jasbir Rishi said that Dr Suri appreciated the efforts of the University in promoting research and exchange of knowledge between different stake holders.
