Jalandhar, February 25

A Free Ayurvedic Medical Camp was organized at the Wellness Centre of DAV University in collaboration with the NSS and NCC units. The event aimed to raise awareness about Ayurvedic medicine and offer free health consultations to students.

Three Ayurvedic doctors including Dr Aditi Sondhi, Assistant Medical Officer at Government Ayurvedic Dispensary, Sarmastpur, Dr. Gagan Thakur and Dr. Rajni Thakur from DAV Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar, conducted consultations.

Students received free Ayurvedic medicines based on their health needs. The doctors also discussed the benefits of Ayurvedic medicine, highlighting its natural healing properties and fewer side effects compared to allopathic treatments.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, spoke about the importance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare, emphasizing its holistic approach to health maintenance and disease prevention.

The event was attended by faculty members, including Dr. Lakhmir Singh, Dr. Dharmender, Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dr. Parveen Guleria, Dr. Ahmad Husain, Mr. Vikas Kahol, Sh. SPS Khurana, and Dr. Smriti Khosla. Nursing staff members Ms. Ravinder Kaur, Ms. Sandeep Kaur, and Ms. Mainsha provided support during the camp.
