Continuing with its objective to expose its students and faculty to international best practicesand expertise the Department of Commerce and Business Management of DAV University held on  November 25,2016  a Workshop on leadership facilitated by Major General G G Dwivedi. Major General G G Dwivedi has attended‘Art & Practice Leadership Development’ and ‘Senior Executives National & International Security’ Programs at Harvard Kennedy School; and ‘Leadership in Public Life’from ‘Kansas Leadership Centre’, USA. An alumnus of National Defence College, Prof Dwivedi has been on the faculty of Indian Military Academy Dehradun and Defence Services Staff College Wellington; as also Defence Attaché in China, Mongolia and North Korea. He is a visiting faculty at Foreign Services Institute Delhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Mussoorie, Management Development Institute Gurgaon, . He has been Professor and founder Chair ‘Faculty of International Studies’ at Aligarh Muslim University since 2013. The workshop focused on developing leadership skills in MBA students so that they are not only efficient managers but also leaders in their own right. The speaker also dwelt on the nuances of military leadership and emotional intelligence. He asked the students to inculcate values and ethics as authentic leaders have strong character. The students of commerce and business management department regularly interact with world class experts. The Department of Commerce and Business Management is fast becoming a place for business experts to share their thoughts with upcoming business leaders.
