Noted Punjabi singer Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai would be the star attractions at DAVUtsav – a three mega fest being organized by DAV University. The techno-cultural fest would also witness the star cast of an upcoming film Baisaki List while fashion show and battle of bands would be other major attractions of the show. 

The fest would start on Wednesday morning keeping up with DAV’s tradition of performing yajna. The first day would have cultural and fine arts events including street plays while Jimmy Shergil, Jaswinder Bhalla, Sunil Grover and Ranjit Bawa would enthrall the audience in the evening. The starcast is also expected to interact with the University students.

The second day of the fest would be dedicated to technical, agriculture, management and NSS events and boys and girls from different Universities and colleges from across Punjab and Chandigarh would participate in the fashion show.

Giving details of the programme, Dr A K Paul, Vice Chancellor of the University said that the University had attempted to maintain a balance between tradition and modernity. “The students and guests would witness participants performing folk music and dances. There would also be an array of activities including western dances and star night.
