Anubhav-the CBM Club of DAV University invited Ambassador Deepak Vohra to conduct a workshop on negotiating skills. The Vice Chancellor Dr A K Paul welcomed the guest with a bouquet of flowers. The workshop was attended by the Commerce and Management students of DAV University.
Ambassador Deepak Vohra shared his vast experience of negotiating the deals in the national and international situations. He emphasised that trust is the most important determinant of success in negotiating a deal. He shared that trust is based upon reliability, responsiveness and reasonability. He trained the participants in how to build trust in a negotiation. He also highlighted the importance of understanding the context and culture of the opponents in the negotiation. He guided the students that appearance, behaviour and eye contact are very important for a formal meeting or presentation during the negotiation.
He replied to various queries raised by the students and faculty members regarding importance of negotiating skills in the context of international trade, climate negotiations and brand building by the Indian corporates.
