Jalandhar : On the second phase of alumni meet various departments of the University organized virtual alumni meet in order to reconnect with their students. Department of Chemical Engineering, Physics Department and Department of Computer Science & Applications and Department of Computer Science & Engineering at DAV University organized a virtual alumni meet where students participated in the meet with lot of enthusiasm.
The alumni meet began with chanting of Gayatri Mantra. Vice-Chancellor (Officiating), DAV University, Dr. Jasbir Rishi in her inaugural address expressed her happiness on the overwhelming response by the alumni. She said that she is proud of the positions and achievements of the alumni. She further said that this virtual alumni meet will serve as a forum for the students to interact and re live University life.
In the Department of Chemical Engineering, Ms. Vidya Pandey, coordinator of Chemical Engineering department welcomed the virtual gathering during the alumni meet which was attended by the pass out batches of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The alumni shared their experiences and also discussed that how DAV University has laid the foundation of their successful life. The alumni interacted with the students of present batches. Ms. Vidya Pandey expressed her gratitude to the university authorities and faculty members for their constant support and making this event a grand success.
In the Physics Department, Dr. Keshav Walia, coordinator of the Department of Physics welcomed the virtual gathering. Around 250 students registered and about 200 alumni actively participated in the alumni meet. Dr. Keshav Walia shared the achievements of the department with the alumni. He also discussed the new opportunities to facilitate the alumni in enhancing their qualification through newly designed PG Diploma courses like Artificial Machine Learning, International Business and Robotics and PhD programs. Dr. Samriti Khosla, Associate Professor, Physics Department delivered the vote of thanks.
Department of Computer Science & Applications and Department of Computer Science & Engineering at DAV University jointly organized virtual alumni meet. The meet was attended by around 150 alumni across the globe. During the meet a formal welcome address was given by Registrar (Officiating), DAV University; Dr. K. N. Kaul and Dean Academics (Officiating), DAV University, Dr. R K Seth. Dr. Hiteshwari Sabrol, coordinator of DCSA and Er. Sanjeev Dhiman coordinator of DCSE virtually organized and managed several events during the alumni meet. Memories were shared through the videos followed by interaction of alumni with their peers and the faculty members. The meet was very well reciprocated and appreciated by the participants and was a resounding success.
Registrar (Officiating), DAV University; Dr. K. N. Kaul interacted with the students and shared his words of wisdom. He said that this reunion will act as an opportunity as the students will learn a lot from experiences of the alumni. He further said that alumni meet is a platform where students can revive their contacts.
Dean Academics (Officiating), DAV University, Dr. R K Seth extended his warm welcome to the students and gave brief information about new courses, recent developments and milestone achievements of the University. He said that hard work is the key to success and happiness. He also motivated students to perform their best to achieve desired results.
