Digital Marketing Expert Gaurav Singhal (CEO of Blue Digital Media) conducted a two day workshop at DAV University Jalandhar on 11-12 April. Workshop was organised by ‘Anubhav-the CBM Club’ of the Department of Commerce and Business Management, DAV University.

Mr Gaurav Singhal shared that digital marketing is all about effective targeting. The tools of digital marketing like search engine optimization, online banner advertising, email marketing, pay per click advertising, affiliate marketing, mobile marketing and app marketing provide avenues for focused and cost effective communication to target customer. Above all, digital marketing enables highly customised marketing communication, he said.

Mr Gaurav Singhal trained the participants in nuances of social media marketing on facebook, linkedin, youtube, instagram and pinterest. He emphasised that it is very important to manage online reputation and shared the tips for public relations management on social media. He also explained how to track the digital marketing and do campaign optimisation using Google analytics. Participants were also trained in digital media planning, buying and execution through hands on exercises.
