Event Overview:

The NCC Enrollment Drive was organized on 14th September 2023 at DAV University to recruit first-year students for the NCC (National Cadet Corps) program. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ahmad Husain, the Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of the university, in collaboration with the PI staff of the 2PB Battalion NCC Jalandhar. The primary objective was to encourage students to join the NCC, offering them an opportunity to develop discipline, leadership, and a sense of national service.

Key Activities:

  • Registration Process: Interested students were provided with information about the NCC and its benefits. They were guided through the registration process, which included filling out forms and submitting necessary documents.
  • Informational Session: Dr. Ahmad Husain and PI staff from the NCC Battalion conducted an informative session explaining the values, training modules, and various activities involved in the NCC.
  • Motivational Talk: The session highlighted the importance of discipline, physical fitness, leadership qualities, and national responsibility, encouraging students to take part in NCC activities.
  • Interactive Engagement: The staff answered queries and shared personal experiences of cadets, making the event more engaging for the students.

Participation:

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the first-year students, with a significant number of students expressing interest in joining the NCC program. A large number of registration forms were collected, demonstrating the growing awareness and appeal of NCC among young students.

Conclusion:

The NCC Enrollment Drive at DAV University was a successful initiative in creating awareness about the NCC program and encouraging first-year students to participate.
