Report:
The students of DAV University participated in the CATC-30 camp held from 26th October to 6th November 2023 at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET). This camp, organized by the 2 Punjab Battalion NCC, offered a comprehensive mix of physical training, lectures, drills, and activities designed to foster discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills among the cadets.
From 26th to 27th October, cadets participated in morning Physical Training (PT) sessions, aimed at building their physical stamina and instilling a routine of fitness. They also attended regular theory classes and drill sessions, where they practiced precise movements and formations, enhancing their discipline and synchronization.
The camp included guest lectures by experts on various topics, such as firefighting techniques and the role of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), offering cadets insights into emergency response strategies and crisis management.
Key Activities:

- Guest Lectures: Topics covered included firefighting and SDRF.
On 29th October, sports events were organized by the battalion, including basketball and volleyball matches. These games were held between companies Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork among the cadets.
A highlight of the day was an inspiring lecture on the Indian Army delivered by Colonel Vinod Joshi, who provided valuable insights into army life and motivated the cadets to consider a future in the armed forces.

The cadets continued their PT and regular classes on 30th October. The day also saw basketball and volleyball matches between companies. Additionally, cadets received training in weapon handling and guards training, enhancing their knowledge of military protocol and equipment.
On 31st October, inter-company competitions took place, including basketball, volleyball, and a debate competition, promoting critical thinking and communication skills among the cadets. CO Sir delivered an inspiring lecture on the Service Selection Board (SSB), which provided cadets with an understanding of the process involved in joining the armed forces.

On 2nd November, regular classes resumed. A guest lecture was delivered by representatives from Punjab Artificial Intelligence, addressing the risks associated with data misuse and strategies to mitigate these risks. This lecture was especially relevant, given the increasing role of digital security in modern-day defense.
The camp concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the honourable Brigadier Arun Tiwari awarded prizes to winning teams and individuals. The event culminated with a group photo to commemorate the camp, marking the end of an enriching and formative experience for the cadets.
