A free Eye Checkup Camp for students and staff members was organized by Women Empowerment Cell in collaboration with NSS and Health centre of DAV University on April 27, 2023 from 1pm to 6pm in the DAV University campus. A team of five experienced eye specialists lead by Dr Mohit Ghai - MBBS, MS (Ophthalmologist) from Duggal Eye Hospital Jalandhar visited the university for this purpose. The camp was well equipped with all the ideal and medical equipments for through eye checkup. More than 164 patients were examined by team in support with Ms. Ravinderjit Kaur of DAV university Health centre free of cost. The Doctors also aware the students about various eye disorders and their early detection. Dr. Praveen Guleria (Convener),Dr. Rama, Er.Sangeeta Monga, Er.Simrandeep Kaur, Er.Vidya, Dr. Lakhmir and Mr.Tarandeep members of Women Empowerment Cell and NSS were present their for full support of team and smooth running of the camp. The event was a fruitful one as many students benefitted from the eye checkup and timely diagnosis helped to prevent the further deterioration of eye sight of students help them to focus on their studies in better manner.
