The Awareness on Grassroot Innovators Program was held from February 27 to March 2, 2023, at DAV University. The event was funded by the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and attracted a total of 200 participants.

The program aimed to raise awareness about grassroots innovations and provide recognition to local innovators. To achieve this, a survey was conducted across the district of Jalandhar to identify grassroots innovators who have made significant contributions to their communities through innovative practices.

Resource persons from the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology delivered a series of awareness lectures during the program. These sessions covered various aspects of grassroots innovation, including the identification of innovators, the impact of their work, and the support available for scaling up their innovations.

The event also provided a platform for innovators to showcase their work, share their experiences, and gain valuable insights from experts and peers.

Conclusion:

The Awareness on Grassroot Innovators Program effectively highlighted the contributions of grassroots innovators and provided them with recognition and support. The event played a crucial role in promoting innovation at the local level and fostering an environment where creative solutions to community challenges can thrive.
