Research vision and strategy

The university aims at helping the world secure a sustainable future in technology and biodiversity. It also desired to promote quality research work in social sciences. There are also plans to partner with world-leading organizations to promote research across several disciplines taught on the campus.

The university also plans to bring together a critical mass of expertise from across the faculties with four key aims:

1. Address large-scale multi-disciplinary research challenges

2. Increase our capacity to influence national and international research

3. Policy and funding agendas to strengthen internal cross-disciplinary research collaborations

4. Provide a platform for large-scale funding applications, recruitments and international research partnerships.

The university would also share its vision with national and international for developing research capacity and partnerships over the medium to long term. The portfolio of strategic research Initiatives would include promotion of an interface between researchers from the University and the organizations into technological and scientific innovations.

Delivering transformational approaches to understanding and conserving biodiversity through collaborative research, education, policy and practice, based on a unique partnership between the University and leading biodiversity conservation organizations would also be a priority at DAV University. The university would also integrate scientific and technological innovation for research in the areas like energy conversation, food security and agricultural development.

The university also proposes to connect language science researchers across the humanities, social sciences, biology, computer science and engineering.
