Students and staff at DAV University held a function on January 12 to celebrate Lohri on the campus. The function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Dr A K Paul. Dr Paul lit the bonfire while groundnuts were distributed among those present at the occasion. Interacting with the students and staff,
Dr Paul said that Lohri signifies the passage of winter and symbolizes a new beginning. The students of various disciplines also put up a vibrant show as resorted to dancing and singing. The function was also graced by Dr Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, registrar, Dr Jasbir Rishi, Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), Dr Naresh Sahajpal, Dean (Academics).
