Vikas Kahol is a Postgraduate in Journalism and Mass Communication with more than 20 years’ experience of mainstream journalism after starting career as Correspondent in The Tribune.
He has served Mail Today – a newspaper published by the India Today Group in a joint venture with British newspaper Daily Mail – for five years. He was responsible for reporting news and features about three Indian provinces – Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. He is also published on the online India pages of Daily Mail, London.
He has also worked with The Indian Express – a prestigious Indian newspaper – in different capacities including Principal Correspondent and News Coordinator (Newslines). He has covered several political and social events during his journalistic career in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. He was also assigned the responsibility of launching Bathinda Newsline – a weekly tabloid published by The Indian Express.
He has also worked for Tara Punjabi – a TV channel having collaboration with The Indian Express Group for news coverage and has written scripts for different TV programmes.
He has also carried out research and wrote script for documentary on Golden Forest Scam – a major Indian financial scam affecting over 24 lakh investors nationwide.
An avid photographer, he specializes in brand management and strategic communication using traditional, electronic and online media.
